Meet the staff

I have been a Lifeguard (7 years), Swim Instructor (2 years), and a Lifeguard Instructor (1.5 years). I ran the swim lessons program at the YMCA successfully for 2 years, swam competitively in high school and have taught from 6 months through adults how to swim. I believe safety around water should be made available as early as possible, is beneficial to all, and it’s never too late to start.

Fun fact about me is that I can sketch/paint really well and make jewelry.

I have been swimming since I was 5 years old. I attended lessons and was on the

Palos Area Swim Sharks (P.A.S.S.) competitive swim team.

I was a swimmer on my high school swim team all 4 years. With my love of being in the water, I joined my high school water polo team. In the off seasons, I was a member of the Chicago Aquatics Polo Club (CAPC) girl’s water polo team. I am currently on the coaching staff of CAPC Water Polo.

I became a swim instructor to share my passion for the water. I would like everyone to enjoy aquatics as much as I do. Safety is a priority. It’s important to learn and master safety skills before learning swim stroke skills. My goal as an instructor is to teach my students how to be safe and efficient in the water.

I’ve been teaching swim lessons for about 4 years, working with children 4 months to adults. I worked as a camp counselor  for 6 years and I am in college to obtain my degree in Aquatics in 2025 while minoring in Scuba Diving! I have scuba dived in Belize and plan to travel and dive in more places. I competed in water polo and swim team in high school for 3 years. I enjoy teaching swim lessons because I get to help all kinds of people learn to swim and be safe around water. I have lots of knowledge and can’t wait to share it with you. Fun fact about me is I’ve played softball for 15 years!

I’ve been swimming for 2 1/2 years. I became a swim instructor to spread my love for swimming, and to encourage people of all ages that it’s never too late to learn how to swim. I previously worked as a swim instructor and a lifeguard prior to joining The Swim Advantage team. I believe lessons should be fun, while keeping safety as the focus. I manage a boys swim team during the winter. This role includes teaching swim techniques, form, and tracking their swim times. I am a certified Lifeguard through the Red Cross and a certified Starfish Swim Instructor.

Fun fact: I play Water polo and skipped the first grade.
